Clinical Calculators
150+ validated clinical calculators, scoring tools and reference equations embedded in clinical context.
Explore MedNextAbout Clinical Calculators
A clinical calculator is only useful if you know when to reach for it and what its output means. This collection embeds validated scores and equations in the clinical context that gives them meaning, from stroke-risk stratification in atrial fibrillation to pneumonia severity and organ-failure scoring in intensive care.
For learning, calculators are unusually efficient. Each score encodes the exact clinical features an examiner wants you to assess, so working through one reinforces the underlying assessment as well as the number.

How to use clinical calculators to study
Learn the indication before the arithmetic. For each score, be able to state the clinical question it answers and the decision its result drives, because that is what exams test.
Group the calculators by presentation. Stroke risk, bleeding risk, pneumonia severity and pulmonary-embolism probability cluster naturally around the conditions where you will use them.
Use the calculators as revision checklists. Running through CHA2DS2-VASc or CURB-65 rehearses the full clinical assessment, not just the score.
