Study Community Medicine
Community Medicine studies health at the level of populations: epidemiology, biostatistics, nutrition, environmental and occupational health, and the national health programmes that deliver care in India. The NMC framework spreads the subject across the course and codes each teachable point, for example CM7.1 for the principles of epidemiology or CM9.1 for demography and vital statistics. MedNext maps all 20 community medicine chapters to those codes, so you can see which competencies are covered and which still need work. Epidemiology and biostatistics carry the heaviest exam weight, because study design, rates and screening logic underpin every applied topic and recur through NEET PG and NExT. The communicable and non-communicable disease chapters, maternal and child health, and the national programmes supply most of the applied and viva questions, and they map onto real Indian practice with current data. Applied community medicine is built in: the epidemiological approach to an outbreak, nutritional assessment in the field, and the control measures within a national programme are all tagged to their codes. Each chapter pairs a detailed reading with practice questions and a one-page cheat sheet under the same NMC tags. Learn the principles once and revision becomes a checklist rather than a re-read.

How many community medicine chapters does MedNext cover?
The community medicine subject hub covers 20 chapters, spanning epidemiology, biostatistics, nutrition, environmental and occupational health, maternal and child health and the national health programmes. Each chapter is mapped to its NMC competency codes, so coverage is visible rather than assumed.
Is community medicine content mapped to the NMC competency framework?
Yes. Every community medicine chapter, practice question and cheat sheet is tagged to an official NMC competency code, for example CM7.1 for the principles of epidemiology. This is the same framework that MBBS university exams, NEET PG and NExT draw from.
Which community medicine topics carry the most exam weight?
Epidemiology and biostatistics dominate, because study design, rates and screening logic underpin every applied topic. The communicable and non-communicable disease chapters, maternal and child health, and the national programmes supply most applied and viva questions.
Does MedNext include community medicine MCQs and revision material?
Each community medicine chapter is paired with practice questions and a one-page cheat sheet, all tagged to the same NMC codes as the reading. That lets you move from learning a competency to testing and revising it without leaving the topic.
Can I preview community medicine before paying?
Yes. You can preview the platform and read a free sample chapter after registering, then view plans when you are ready to decide.
