Study Human Anatomy
Human Anatomy is the first subject an MBBS student meets, and the one examiners keep returning to across the course. The NMC competency framework splits it into gross anatomy, histology, embryology and neuroanatomy, then assigns every teachable point a code such as AN22.4 or AN44.5. MedNext covers all 81 anatomy chapters against those codes, so you can see exactly which competencies are done and which still need work. Gross anatomy carries the heaviest exam weight: the limbs, thorax, abdomen, pelvis and head and neck supply most viva questions and OSPE stations. Histology and embryology are smaller in volume but reliably tested, and neuroanatomy tends to decide the top marks. Each chapter pairs a detailed reading with practice questions and a one-page cheat sheet, all tagged to the same NMC codes. Clinical anatomy runs through the subject rather than sitting beside it. The anatomical basis of an inguinal hernia, the effect of a pituitary tumour on the visual pathway, and the lesion pattern in syringomyelia are all mapped to their codes, so first-year study already points toward the reasoning that NEET PG and NExT reward. Learn the codes once, properly, and revision later becomes a checklist instead of a re-read.

How many anatomy chapters does MedNext cover?
The anatomy subject hub covers 81 chapters, spanning gross anatomy, histology, embryology and neuroanatomy. Each chapter is mapped to its NMC competency codes, so coverage is visible rather than assumed.
Is anatomy content mapped to the NMC competency framework?
Yes. Every anatomy chapter, practice question and cheat sheet is tagged to an official NMC competency code, for example AN44.5 for the anatomical basis of inguinal hernia. This is the same framework that MBBS university exams, NEET PG and NExT draw from.
Which anatomy topics carry the most exam weight?
Gross anatomy of the limbs, thorax, abdomen and head and neck supplies most viva and OSPE questions. Neuroanatomy is smaller in volume but frequently separates the top scores, so it is worth study time out of proportion to its chapter count.
Does MedNext include anatomy MCQs and revision material?
Each anatomy chapter is paired with practice questions and a one-page cheat sheet, all tagged to the same NMC codes as the reading. That lets you move from learning a competency to testing and revising it without leaving the topic.
Can I preview anatomy before paying?
Yes. You can preview the platform and read a free sample chapter after registering, then view plans when you are ready to decide.
