Indications and dose
**Severe depletion or malabsorption of vitamins B and C postoperatively**
- **Adult** (By Intravenous Infusion, Or By Deep Intramuscular Injection): (consult product literature).
**Treatment of suspected or established Wernicke's encephalopathy**
- **Adult** (By Intravenous Infusion): 2-3 pairs 3 times a day for 3-5 days, followed by 1 pair once daily for a further 3-5 days or for as long as improvement continues.
**Prophylaxis of Wernicke's encephalopathy [assisted alcohol withdrawal in an inpatient setting]**
- **Adult** (By Deep Intramuscular Injection): 1 pair once daily for at least 5 days and up to 7 days if required, give into the gluteal muscle.
**Severe depletion or malabsorption of vitamins B and C in psychosis following narcosis or electroconvulsive therapy,Severe depletion or malabsorption of vitamins B and C following toxicity from acute infections**
- **Adult** (By Intravenous Infusion, Or By Deep Intramuscular Injection): 1 pair twice daily for up to 7 days, give deep intramuscular injection into the gluteal muscle.
**Severe depletion or malabsorption of vitamins B and C in haemodialysis**
- **Adult** (By Intravenous Infusion): 1 pair every 2 weeks.
