MedNext subscriptions are designed for serious, regular personal study. This Fair Usage Policy, issued by MedNext Academy Private Limited (MedNext), explains what reasonable use means, the protections that keep the platform fast and fair for everyone, and what happens when usage rules are breached. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
1. What fair use looks like. A subscription covers one learner's own study: reading chapters and revision notes, attempting practice questions, using clinical-reference tools, and tracking personal progress. There are no arbitrary caps on how much you can study; a dedicated learner preparing full-time for an examination is exactly who the platform is built for, and normal heavy study will never trigger this policy.
2. One account, one learner. Each account is personal. Sharing login credentials, pooling an account among a study group, or reselling access is not permitted. Institutions that want multi-learner access should use our institutional (B2B) plans, which provide named seats for each learner. We use technical signals, such as concurrent-session and device patterns, to detect shared accounts.
3. Prohibited use. You must not: scrape, bulk-download, or systematically copy content by any means, manual or automated; redistribute, republish, sell or publicly post MedNext content, including in study groups, channels or file-sharing forums; use the content to build, train or ground a competing product, dataset or machine-learning model; circumvent paywalls, access controls or session limits; or automate interactions with the platform through bots or scripts.
4. Service protection limits. To keep the platform stable and responsive we apply technical safeguards, including rate limits on rapid repeated requests, limits on concurrent sessions, and monitoring for automated traffic patterns. These safeguards are tuned so that genuine human study is unaffected; they exist to stop abuse, not to meter learning.
5. What happens on breach. Where we detect activity that breaches this policy, our response is proportionate: unusual but possibly innocent patterns may simply trigger a re-authentication step or a warning; clear account sharing may lead to a password reset and a notice; and scraping, redistribution or resale may lead to suspension or termination of the account without refund, in line with our Terms and Conditions and Refund Policy. Serious abuse, such as large-scale content theft, may also lead to legal action under applicable law.
6. Appeals. If your account is restricted and you believe the decision is wrong, contact hello@mednext.academy with the subject line "Fair usage appeal". A human will review the decision, and restrictions applied in error will be lifted promptly.
7. Changes and contact. We may update this policy as the platform evolves; material changes will be notified through the platform. Questions about fair usage can be sent to MedNext Academy Private Limited at hello@mednext.academy.
