Every strip is difficulty-graded from Beginner to Advanced, so you can start where you are comfortable and build toward the complex arrhythmias that separate strong candidates.
Sample ECG readings
A taste of what is inside. Each of the 105 strips in the full atlas is annotated the same way. Work through these in your head, then read the interpretation.
Inferior STEMI. ST-segment elevation in the inferior leads II, III and aVF, with reciprocal ST depression in I and aVL. When III elevation exceeds II and there is ST depression in I, suspect a right coronary artery occlusion. Always add right-sided leads to look for V4R changes of right ventricular involvement, because that changes fluid and nitrate management.
Atrial fibrillation. An irregularly irregular rhythm with no discernible P waves and a fibrillatory baseline. The ventricular response is often fast. The teaching point examiners test is rate versus rhythm control and the need to assess stroke risk before considering any cardioversion.
Complete (third-degree) heart block. Complete atrioventricular dissociation: the P waves and the QRS complexes march out at their own independent rates, with no fixed PR relationship. The atrial rate is faster than the slow, wide escape rhythm. This is an unstable-bradycardia pattern that points toward pacing.
Hyperkalaemia. Tall, narrow, tented T waves are the earliest change. As potassium rises further the P waves flatten, the PR lengthens and the QRS widens, which can progress to a sine-wave pattern. Recognising the peaked T wave early is the high-yield step, because the ECG can move faster than the laboratory result.

Peaked T waves are the earliest sign, progressing to a widened QRS and eventually a sine-wave pattern. Recognising this on the ECG is a can't-miss emergency call.

How each strip is taught
Every reading uses the same systematic order so the method transfers to any tracing you meet in an exam or on the ward: rate, then rhythm, then axis, then the P wave, PR interval, QRS width and morphology, ST segment and finally the T wave and QT interval.
