This Cookie Policy explains how MedNext Academy Private Limited (MedNext, we, us or our) uses cookies and similar technologies, such as browser local storage, on mednext.academy and the MedNext learning platform. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. What cookies are. Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites work properly, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. We also use browser local storage, which serves similar purposes but is stored and read only by your browser on your device. In this policy, "cookies" covers both.
2. Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the site and platform to function and cannot be switched off without breaking core features. They include: session and authentication cookies that keep you signed in and secure your session; security tokens that protect against cross-site request forgery and other attacks; and a consent cookie that remembers your cookie choices. These cookies do not track you across other websites.
3. Preference cookies. These remember choices you make so the site works the way you left it, for example language or display settings, dismissed notices, and study-view preferences. Disabling them means those choices are forgotten between visits, but the site remains usable.
4. Analytics cookies. We use analytics to understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited, which content is useful and where users encounter problems, so we can improve the Services. Analytics data is used only for these purposes: we do not use advertising cookies, we do not embed social-media tracking pixels, and we do not share analytics data with data brokers, advertisers or retargeting services. We do not sell personal data collected through cookies to anyone.
5. Consent and your choices. Strictly necessary cookies are used on the basis that they are essential to provide the service you request. Non-essential cookies, such as analytics, are used only in accordance with applicable law, including the consent framework of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; where consent applies, you can give or withdraw it through the choices offered on the site, and withdrawing consent does not affect your ability to browse.
6. Managing cookies in your browser. Most browsers let you refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or warn you before a cookie is set. In Chrome, see Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies and other site data. In Firefox, see Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data. In Safari, see Preferences, then Privacy. In Edge, see Settings, then Cookies and site permissions. Clearing cookies will sign you out and reset your saved preferences, and blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent sign-in and other core features from working.
7. Changes to this policy. We may update this Cookie Policy when the cookies we use change or for legal or operational reasons. We will update this page when we do; please review it periodically.
