Accessibility Policy
MedNext Academy's commitment to accessible medical education, our WCAG 2.1 AA target, known limitations and how to report accessibility issues.

MedNext Academy Private Limited (MedNext, we, us or our) is committed to making medical education accessible to learners of all abilities. We want the MedNext website and learning platform to be usable by the widest possible audience, including people with visual, auditory, motor, cognitive and neurological disabilities, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
1. Our standard. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This is a target we work toward continuously rather than a claim of complete conformance: medical content is dense and highly visual, and we prioritise fixes by the impact they have on real study workflows.
2. What we do. Our accessibility work includes: using semantic HTML with a logical heading structure so screen readers can navigate pages meaningfully; supporting keyboard navigation for interactive elements; providing descriptive alternative text for meaningful images and marking decorative images so assistive technologies skip them; maintaining sufficient colour contrast and not relying on colour alone to convey information; keeping layouts responsive so content reflows on small screens and at high zoom levels; and reviewing new features for accessibility as part of development.
3. Legal context. We recognise the principles of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017, which promote accessibility of information and communication technology in India, and the harmonised accessibility guidance issued under them. As a private organisation we adopt these principles and the WCAG standard voluntarily, as a matter of commitment to inclusive education.
4. Known limitations. Some parts of the Services do not yet meet our target. These include: complex interactive study tools and diagrams that may be difficult to use with a screen reader; some older images and charts whose alternative text is still being improved; and PDF or poster-style revision materials that may not be fully accessible to assistive technologies. We are working to reduce these limitations and welcome reports that help us prioritise.
5. Reporting an accessibility issue. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, email hello@mednext.academy with the word "Accessibility" in the subject line. Please include the page address (URL), a description of the problem, and the device, browser and any assistive technology you were using. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 working days and to resolve issues within 30 working days where feasible; where a full fix takes longer, we will try to offer the content in an alternative form.
6. Continuous improvement. Accessibility is ongoing work, not a one-time project. We incorporate accessibility checks into our development workflow, act on user feedback, and track changes to WCAG guidance so our standard keeps pace. This policy is reviewed periodically and updated as our services evolve.
