NEET-PG FAQ
What is the eligibility for NEET-PG?
To be eligible for NEET-PG 2026 a candidate must hold an MBBS degree, or a provisional MBBS pass certificate, recognised under the National Medical Commission Act, and must complete the one-year compulsory rotatory internship on or before 30 September 2026. A valid permanent or provisional registration certificate from the NMC, the former Medical Council of India, or a State Medical Council is also required. There is no upper age limit for NEET-PG. Indian citizens, NRIs, Overseas Citizens of India, Persons of Indian Origin and foreign nationals are all eligible to appear. Candidates who obtained their MBBS abroad must first clear the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination before they qualify. The internship cut-off date is the strict gate: if your internship finishes after 30 September 2026 you cannot be admitted to any PG course through this cycle even if you sit and clear the exam. These conditions come from the NBEMS Information Bulletin and the linked notification, so candidates should confirm them against the official bulletin for their cycle.
