What NEET-PG asks of you

NEET-PG is a computer-based test of 180 MCQs carrying 720 marks, with plus 4 for a correct answer and minus 1 for a wrong one, conducted by NBEMS. Your preparation must build wide recall across 19 subjects, train fast and accurate MCQ reasoning, and manage risk so you do not lose marks to careless guessing.

What coaching offers

Mnemonics and expansions

**FLAT PiG:** FSH, LH, ACTH, TSH, Prolactin, ICSH, Growth hormone. Lists the hormones secreted by the anterior pituitary gland.
**Grandma Goes Home To Cook Great Pizza:** GHRH, GHIH (somatostatin), Hypothalamus, TRH, CRH, GnRH, PIH. Recalls the hypothalamic releasing and inhibiting hormones that control the anterior pituitary.
**Go Find Rex, Make Good Sex:** Glomerulosa makes Mineralocorticoids, Fasciculata makes Glucocorticoids, Reticularis makes Sex steroids. Pairs each adrenal cortex zone with the hormone class it produces.
**CUSHING:** Central obesity, Unique fat (moon face), Skin striae, Hypertension and hyperglycaemia, Infections, Neuromuscular weakness, Gonadal dysfunction. Summarises the features of Cushing syndrome from cortisol excess.
**PTH BIKES Calcium Up:** Bones (resorption), Intestine (via vitamin D), Kidney (reabsorption). Shows the three target organs through which parathormone raises blood calcium.
**A Big Dog Found:** Alpha cells (glucagon), Beta cells (insulin), Delta cells (somatostatin), F cells (pancreatic polypeptide). Matches each islet of Langerhans cell type to its secretion.
**Good Teachers Can Always Grade:** Glucagon, Thyroxine, Cortisol, Adrenaline, Growth hormone. Lists the counter-regulatory hormones that raise blood glucose.
**Every Really Cute Cat:** Excitability, Rhythmicity, Conductivity, Contractility. Names the four fundamental properties of cardiac muscle.
**Some Animals Bring Big Presents:** SA node, AV node, Bundle of His, Bundle branches, Purkinje fibres. Traces impulse conduction through the specialised cardiac system.
**GTS:** Glomerular filtration, Tubular reabsorption, Tubular secretion. Covers the three processes that together form urine.
**Angry Iguanas II III IV:** Angiotensinogen, Angiotensin I, Angiotensin II, Angiotensin III, Angiotensin IV. Lists the peptides generated in sequence by the renin-angiotensin system.
**Oh, Fancy Girls Vibrate:** Oculomotor (III), Facial (VII), Glossopharyngeal (IX), Vagus (X). Names the cranial nerves carrying parasympathetic outflow.
