What's inside the ECG library
The ECG library teaches a repeatable reading order — rate, rhythm, axis, intervals, then morphology — so you describe any strip before you name it. Each tracing below is a real MedNext annotated strip.
Inferior STEMI
ST-segment elevation in the inferior leads II, III and aVF, with reciprocal ST depression in I and aVL. When III elevation exceeds II with ST depression in I, suspect a right coronary artery occlusion. Add right-sided leads (V4R) to catch right ventricular involvement, which changes fluid and nitrate management.
Anterior STEMI
Marked ST-segment elevation across the anterior chest leads V1 to V4, with reciprocal ST depression inferiorly. This pattern implies a proximal left anterior descending artery occlusion — a large territory at risk that needs immediate reperfusion.
Hyperkalaemia
Peaked T waves are the earliest change, progressing through PR prolongation and QRS widening to a sine-wave pattern at pre-arrest levels. Recognising the progression on the ECG is a can't-miss emergency call for calcium and potassium-lowering treatment.
