Indications and dose
**Hyperphosphataemia in patients on haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis**
- **Adult** (By Mouth): Initially 2.4-4.8 g daily in 3 divided doses, dose to be given with meals and adjusted according to serum-phosphate concentration; usual dose 2.4-12 g daily in 3 divided doses.
**Hyperphosphataemia in patients on haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis,Hyperphosphataemia in patients with chronic kidney disease not on dialysis who have a serum-phosphate concentration of 1.78 mmol/litre or more**
- **Adult** (By Mouth): Initially 2.4-4.8 g daily in 3 divided doses, dose to be taken with meals and adjusted according to serum-phosphate concentration every 2-4 weeks-consult product literature; usual dose 6 g daily in 3 divided doses.

**Hyperphosphataemia in patients on haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis for Renagel**
- **Child 12-17 years** (By mouth): Initially 0.8-1.6 g 3 times a day, dose to be given with meals and adjusted according to serum-phosphate concentration.
**Hyperphosphataemia in chronic kidney disease for Renvela 2.4g oral powder sachets**
- **Child 6-17 years (body surface area 0.75-1.1 m2)** (By mouth): Initially 2.4 g daily in 3 divided doses, dose to be taken with meals and adjusted according to serum-phosphate concentration every 2-4 weeks-consult product literature.
- **Child 6-17 years (body surface area 1.2 m2 and above)** (By mouth): Initially 4.8 g daily in 3 divided doses, dose to be taken with meals and adjusted according to serum-phosphate concentration every 2-4 weeks-consult product literature.

Interactions
**Other interactions (6):**
- Sevelamer Decrease in MPA C max and AUC 0-12h by 30% and 25%, respectively, were observed when mycophenolate mofetil was concomitantly administered with sevelamer without any clinical consequences...
- It is recommended, however, to administer mycophenolate mofetil at least one hour before or three hours after sevelamer intake to minimise the impact on the absorption of MPA.
- There are no data on mycophenolate mofetil with phosphate binders other than sevelamer.
