Indications and dose
**Initial unsupervised treatment of tuberculosis (in combination with ethambutol)**
- **Adult** (By Mouth): (body-weight 65 kg and above) 6 tablets daily for 2 months (initial phase), use Rifater Tablets, preferably taken before breakfast.
**Initial treatment of tuberculosis (in combination with ethambutol) for rifampicin with isoniazid and pyrazinamide**
- **Child** (): Although not licensed in children, consideration may be given to use of Rifater in older children, provided the respective dose of each drug is appropriate for the weight of the child (consult local protocol).
