Indications and dose
**Congestion of mucous membranes of upper respiratory tract**
- **Child** (By Mouth): 12-17 years 60 mg 3-4 times a day.
- **Adult** (By Mouth): 60 mg 3-4 times a day.
**Congestion of mucous membranes of upper respiratory tract for pseudoephedrine hydrochloride**
- **Child 6-11 years** (By mouth): 30 mg 3-4 times a day.
- **Child 12-17 years** (By mouth): 60 mg 3-4 times a day.
Cautions
Diabetes; heart disease; hyperthyroidism; ischaemic heart disease (in adults); mild to moderate hypertension; prostatic hypertrophy (in adults); raised intra-ocular pressure (in children); susceptibility to angle-closure glaucoma (in adults)
Contraindications
Severe or uncontrolled hypertension
Side effects
Common or very common Anxiety; dizziness; dry mouth; headache; nausea; sleep disorders Frequency not known Akathisia; angioedema; angle closure glaucoma; arrhythmias; cerebrovascular insufficiency; circulation impaired; colitis ischaemic; drowsiness; hallucination; hypertension; mood altered; myocardial infarction; myocardial ischaemia; optic neuropathy; palpitations; paraesthesia; paranoid delusions; posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES); severe cutaneous adverse reactions (SCARs); skin reactions; tremor; urinary disorders; vomiting

Pregnancy

Hepatic impairment
Manufacturer advises caution in severe impairment.
Renal impairment
Use with caution in mild to moderate impairment; avoid in severe impairment. M
