Indications and dose
**Central and peripheral muscle spasms**
- **Adult** (By Mouth): 1.5-3 mg 3 times a day.
Cautions
Elderly (higher or longer-lasting blood levels expected); hypotension (increased risk of circulatory problems)-take dose after meals
Contraindications
Arrhythmia; gastrointestinal obstruction; glaucoma; prostatic hypertrophy; urinary retention
Side effects
Abdominal pain; anxiety; arrhythmias; asthenia; circulatory collapse; dizziness; dry mouth; headache; hypotension; nausea; speech disorder Rare or very rare Concentration impaired; coordination abnormal; depression; diarrhoea; taste altered; vision disorders; vomiting Frequency not known Constipation; feeling hot; hallucination; muscle weakness; mydriasis; paraesthesia; skin reactions; thirst; tremor; urinary disorder
Pregnancy
Avoid in the first trimester; thereafter, use only if potential benefit outweighs risk (no information available). M
