Indications and dose
**Obstetric analgesia for pethidine hydrochloride**
- **Child 12-17 years** (By subcutaneous injection, or by intramuscular injection): 1 mg/kg (max. per dose 100 mg), then 1 mg/kg after 1-3 hours if required; maximum 400 mg per day.
