Indications and dose
**Premedication for lorazepam**
- **Child 1 month-11 years** (By mouth): 50-100 micrograms/kg (max. per dose 4 mg), to be given at least 1 hour before procedure, same dose may be given the night before procedure in addition to, or to replace, dose before procedure.
- **Child 12-17 years** (By mouth): 1-4 mg, to be given at least 1 hour before procedure, same dose may be given the night before procedure in addition to, or to replace, dose before procedure.
- **Child** (By slow intravenous injection): 50-100 micrograms/kg for 1 dose (max. per dose 4 mg), to be administered 30-45 minutes before procedure.
**Status epilepticus, Febrile convulsions, Convulsions caused by poisoning for lorazepam**
- **Neonate** (By slow intravenous injection): 100 micrograms/kg for 1 dose, then 100 micrograms/kg for 1 dose, to be given 5-10 minutes after first dose if required.
- **Child 1 month-11 years** (By slow intravenous injection): 100 micrograms/kg for 1 dose (max. per dose 4 mg), then 100 micrograms/kg for 1 dose (max. per dose 4 mg), to be given 5-10 minutes after first dose if required.
- **Child 12-17 years** (By slow intravenous injection): 4 mg for 1 dose, then 4 mg for 1 dose, to be given 5-10 minutes after first dose if required.
Interactions
**Severe interactions:**
- No significant reciprocal pharmacokinetic interaction has been found between reboxetine and lorazepam.
- ANTIANXIETY AGENTS Lorazepam/Efavirenz (2 mg single dose/600 mg once daily) Lorazepam: AUC: 7% ( 1 to 14) C max : 16% ( 2 to 32) These changes are not considered clinically significant.
