Indications and dose
**Adjunct to statin in prevention of cardiovascular events in hyperlipidaemia [in patients with triglycerides 150 mg/dL ( 1.7 mmol/L) and either established cardiovascular disease, or diabetes with at least 1 other cardiovascular risk factor]**
- **Adult** (By Mouth): 1.996 g twice daily.
Cautions
Antithrombotic treatment (bleeding time increased); history of atrial fibrillation or flutter
Side effects
Common or very common Arrhythmias; burping; constipation; gout; haemorrhage; pain; peripheral oedema; skin reactions Uncommon Taste altered Frequency not known Abdominal discomfort; arthralgia; diarrhoea; throat swelling
Interactions
