Indications and dose
**Congenital haemophilia [with inhibitors to, or high anamnestic response to, factors VIII or IX] (specialist use only),Acquired haemophilia (specialist use only),Congenital factor VII deficiency (specialist use only),Glanzmann's thrombasthenia (specialist use only)**
- **Adult** (By Intravenous Injection): Specialist indication - access specialist resources for dosing information.
**Postpartum haemorrhage (under expert supervision)**
- **Adult** (By Intravenous Injection): 60-90 micrograms/kg for 1 dose, peak coagulation activity can be expected at 10 minutes, dose can be repeated after 30 minutes if insufficient haemostatic response.
Cautions
Disseminated intravascular coagulation; risk of thrombosis
Side effects
Common or very common Dizziness; headache; injection related reaction Uncommon Embolism and thrombosis; fever; hepatic disorders; intestinal ischaemia; skin reactions Rare or very rare Angina pectoris; cerebrovascular insufficiency; coagulation disorders; myocardial infarction; nausea; peripheral ischaemia Frequency not known Angioedema; flushing
