For emollients, urea-containing Urea is a keratin softener and hydrating agent used in the treatment of dry, scaling conditions (including ichthyosis).
Indications and dose
**Dry, scaling, and itching skin**
- **Child** (To The Skin): Apply 2-3 times a day.
- **Adult** (To The Skin): Apply 2-3 times a day.
**Dry skin conditions**
- **Child** (To The Skin): Apply twice daily.
- **Adult** (To The Skin): Apply twice daily.
**Dry skin on soles of feet**
- **Child** (To The Skin): 12-17 years Apply once daily.
- **Adult** (To The Skin): Apply once daily.
**Dry skin conditions including eczema, ichthyosis, xeroderma, and hyperkeratosis**
- **Child** (To The Skin): Apply twice daily, to be applied thinly and rubbed into area.
- **Adult** (To The Skin): Apply twice daily, to be applied thinly and rubbed into area.
**Dry skin on soles of feet and heels**
- **Child** (To The Skin): 12-17 years Apply 1-2 times a day.
- **Adult** (To The Skin): Apply 1-2 times a day.
**Dry skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis**
- **Adult** (To The Skin): Apply to skin or use as a soap substitute.
**Dry, scaling, and itching skin for Aquadrate**
- **Child** (To the skin): Apply twice daily, to be applied thinly.
**Dry skin conditions for Balneum cream**
- **Child** (To the skin): Apply twice daily.
**Dry, scaling, and itching skin for Balneum plus cream**
- **Child** (To the skin): Apply twice daily.
**Dry, scaling, and itching skin for Calmurid**
- **Child** (To the skin): Apply twice daily, apply a thick layer for 3-5 minutes, massage into area, and remove excess. Can be diluted with aqueous cream (life of diluted cream is 14 days). Half-strength cream can be used for 1 week if stinging occurs.
