Indications and dose
**Squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck, cervix and external genitalia,Testicular cancer,Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma,Hodgkin's lymphoma**
- **Adult** (By Intramuscular Injection, Or By Intravenous Injection, Or By Intravenous Infusion, Or By Intra-Arterial Injection, Or By Intra-Arterial Infusion, Or By Subcutaneous Injection): Specialist drug - access specialist resources for dosing information.
Contraindications
For bleomycin [Specialist drug] Ataxia telangiectasia; pulmonary infection; significantly reduced lung function
Side effects
For bleomycin [Specialist drug] Common or very common Alopecia; appetite decreased; chills; dyspnoea; embolism and thrombosis; fever (after administration); fingertip swelling; fingertip tenderness; headache; hypersensitivity; idiosyncratic drug reaction; induration; interstitial lung disease; malaise; mucositis; nausea; oedema; pulmonary fibrosis; respiratory disorders; skin reactions; stomatitis; vomiting; weight decreased Uncommon Angular cheilitis; arthralgia; bone marrow disorders; cancer pain; confusion; diarrhoea; dizziness; haemorrhage; hypotension; leucopenia; myalgia; nail discolouration; nail disorder; neutropenia; oliguria; thrombocytopenia; urinary disorders; vein wall hypertrophy Rare or very rare Cerebrovascular insufficiency; chest pain; haemolytic uraemic syndrome; hepatic impairment; myocardial infarction; pericarditis; peripheral vascular disease; scleroderma; thrombotic microangiopathy; tumour lysis syndrome Frequency not known Anaemia; sepsis Side-effects, further information Pulmonary reactions, including interstitial pneumonitis, pulmonary fibrosis, and pulmonary toxicity have been reported. Pulmonary toxicity occurs more frequently in those over 70 years, and in those who have received total doses greater than 400 units. If pulmonary changes occur, discontinue treatment and investigate.
