Cancellation Policy
How to cancel a MedNext Academy subscription: what happens to your access, how billing stops, and the difference between cancelling and requesting a refund.
Explore MedNextCancellation Policy
This Cancellation Policy explains how to cancel a MedNext subscription, what happens when you do, and how cancellation relates to refunds. It applies to individual subscriptions purchased directly from MedNext Academy Private Limited (MedNext, we, us or our) through mednext.academy. Institutional and business (B2B) access is governed by the written agreement between MedNext and the institution.
1. How to cancel. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings in the MedNext platform. No notice period is required, and there is no cancellation fee. If you are unable to cancel through your account settings, email support@mednext.academy from your registered email address with the subject line "Cancel subscription" and we will process it within 2 working days.
2. What happens when you cancel. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep full access to your paid plan until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. When that period ends, your account reverts to free-tier access and you will no longer be charged. Your study progress, streaks and account data are retained so that if you resubscribe later, your history is preserved.
3. Auto-renewal and pre-debit notifications. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the next billing date. Before each renewal, you will receive a pre-debit notification from us or your payment provider, giving you an opportunity to cancel. If you miss the notification and are charged, the refund windows described in our Refund Policy apply.
4. Cancellation is not the same as a refund. Cancelling stops future charges and is always free. Whether you also receive money back for the current billing period depends on the refund windows in our Refund Policy. In summary: first-time monthly subscribers may claim a refund within 7 days; first-time annual subscribers may claim a pro-rated refund within 15 days; renewal charges are not refundable, which is why cancelling before the renewal date matters.
5. Deleting your account. Cancelling your subscription and deleting your account are separate actions. Cancelling keeps your account and data intact for a potential return. If you want your account and personal data deleted entirely, you may request erasure as described in our Privacy Policy; we will delete your data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, subject to records we are legally required to retain.
6. Contact. For questions about cancellation, email MedNext Academy Private Limited at support@mednext.academy.
