Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: July 2026

Overview

This Cancellation Policy explains how MedNext Academy subscriptions renew, how to cancel one, and what happens to your access after you cancel. It applies to subscriptions bought from MedNext Academy Private Limited through mednext.academy and the MedNext platform, and forms part of the agreement between you and MedNext. Refunds are covered separately in our Refund Policy.

How auto-renewal works

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or annually, at the plan price shown when you subscribed.
  • You choose auto-renewal at checkout. Where a recurring mandate is set up on your card or UPI, you authorise us to collect the subscription fee each period through our payment partner, Razorpay.
  • In line with Reserve Bank of India rules for recurring payments, you will receive a pre-debit notification before each renewal charge, giving you the opportunity to cancel before you are billed.
  • We will tell you in advance if the price of your plan changes before a renewal. You may cancel if you do not wish to continue at the new price.

How to cancel

You can cancel a subscription at any time, and cancelling is always free.

  • In the app: open Settings, choose Subscription, and select Cancel subscription.
  • By email: write to hello@mednext.academy from your registered email address with the subject line Cancel Subscription. We will action it within two working days and confirm by email.
  • Cancelling stops future renewals. It does not, by itself, refund the period you have already paid for.

What happens to your access

  • You keep full access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Cancelling on day 3 of a monthly plan still leaves you access for the remainder of that month.
  • At the end of that period your access ends and no further payment is taken.
  • Your account and your saved progress are retained, so you can resubscribe later and continue where you left off. You may ask us to delete your account and personal data at any time under our Privacy Policy.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancelling and requesting a refund are different things. Cancelling stops future billing. Whether you also receive money back for the current period is decided by our Refund Policy, which allows a full refund for first-time monthly subscribers within 7 days of purchase and a pro-rated refund for first-time annual subscribers within 15 days of purchase, and covers technical issues that prevent access. Renewal payments are not eligible for a refund, which is why the pre-debit notification is your opportunity to cancel in time.

Institutional subscriptions

Subscriptions bought by a college, hospital or other institution are governed by the agreement signed with that institution rather than by self-service cancellation. If you are a student whose access was provided by your institution, contact your institution first; you may also write to hello@mednext.academy and we will help.

Cancellation by MedNext

We may suspend or cancel a subscription if our terms of use are breached, for example where an account is shared or content is redistributed. Where we cancel for reasons that are not your fault, we will refund the unused portion of your subscription.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
